Twine’s concept is to combine Fair Trade and eco-friendly design with modern design and traditional crafts. We’ve become one of the members of WFTO since 2013. We work with the producers whom are mostly the marginalized groups in the developing countries. All the NGOs and NPOs are also the members of WFTO, which means that the producers get not only the proper wage but also the benefits and cares from the society.
Twine uses eco-friendly fabrics and productions, and natural materials such as organic cotton, wool, jute, natural dyes, hand-weaving fabrics. We also use recycled rice bags, cement bags, fabrics, glass, and metals. All the products are handmade, therefore, we provide more working opportunities and decrease the environmental pollution.
Twine supports and are dedicated to promote the idea of Fair Trade, which provides fair wage and safe working environment, and values societal constructions and benefits. Of course, we ought to provide the best quality and price for our customers. Make your expand as a change, helping those people to live properly and independently by utilizing their own abilities.
Let’s support the Fair Trade products in Taiwan.

The World Fair Trade Organization Guarantee System (WFTO-GS) is developed by a group of experts in the field of Fair Trade monitoring and verification.
The major principles of the development of the GS are credibility, sustainability and robustness. To achieve these three criteria, the GS has five major components: New Membership Admission Procedure, Self-Assessment Report, Monitoring Audit, Peer Visit, and the Fair Trade Accountability Watch (FTAW). The FTAW is a participative monitoring mechanism that allows the public to report compliance issues regarding Fair Trade Organizations.
The FAIRTRADE Cotton Mark signifies that a pure cotton product is made with 100 % Fairtrade certified cotton. In the case of mixed textiles, the Mark means that all the cotton contained in the product is Fairtrade certified but other textiles in the composition are not. The FAIRTRADE Cotton Mark
refers exclusively to the identified cotton in a product, not to the finished product itself.
